Traditional looms
Luigi Boggio Casero’s adventure begins with four traditional looms put to work in a district where the origins of the wool making
tradition have far-reaching roots. But the Luigi Boggio Casero woollens manufacturer distinguishes itself from other woollens manufacturers
for its production, almost exclusively dedicated to fabrics for women’s wear.
The fine, combed wools which make up the most traditional product of the company are soon joined by new types of wools. The results are
structured crepes - created with tightly twisted yarns and fine cords – and flowing fabrics, meshes with a dry and crunchy touch.
Natural fibres are used to obtain soft, very airy effects, created with bouclé, frisé and mouliné yarns. It is,
after all, a necessary evolution which allows the company to keep up with the requests and suggestions coming from fashion designers who,
at that exact moment, are at the onset of their success stories.

Eugenio and Nicola Boggio Casero
At the beginning of the 1980s, while the search for new textile solutions in fashion becomes increasingly pressing and the success of the Made
in Italy becomes an internationally recognised phenomenon, two brothers, Eugenio and Nicola, bring their father's company to a decisive turning
point, giving rise to an industrial-type production which employs over one hundred workers in the Ponzone production unit alone. The products
are now focussed on the high end of the market and are sought after by the most innovative and skilled designers in search of the right balance
between quality and creativity in the fabric.
In this way, Luigi Boggio Casero becomes one of the most important names in the world of women's wear textiles and opens up to the international
markets. The ability to adapt to the most diverse market demands and meet a variety of different needs means the ability to propose tailor made
products. For this reason once again, change is just around the corner.
Dying and finishing
Coggiola, a short distance from Ponzone, is the location chosen for the new Luigi Boggio Casero dyeing and finishing plants for the fabrics
made in Ponzone. The new production unit – Arcobaleno – brings with it significant investment in terms of technology, machinery
and human resources: a courageous choice, yet coherent with the entire evolution of the company, which in a short time, it turns out to be
fundamental for increasing know-how and, consequently, research and specialisation. The integration between the two units also becomes a
new way of providing more and more personalised services to clients who, from season to season, spur the company on towards an always new quest.
Bespoke
This term sums up sever of Luigi Boggio Casero's distinctive qualities. First of all, skill in directing research towards increasingly specific
and personalised needs. Then, the uncommon ability of meeting every sort of stylistic request in short periods of time. And last but not least,
a true passion for this work. An historic archive of the fabrics has been created in Ponzone. It is continuously updated and is at disposal of
the fashion designers who collaborate with the company.
Skill and passion have taught Luigi Boggio Casero not to be content with the classic seasonal proposals: the study of new proposals and solutions
is not limited to the development of the collections although the latter embrace a wide variety of products, but is in a continuous and non-stop
state of evolution and renewal.
With the purchase of the Oreste Boggio Casero brand, the history of the company comes full circle. Two brands who have dominated
the textile industry for over thirty years are now united under one roof. Oreste Boggio Casero can lay claim to an extraordinary tradition
in the production of quality draperies. Luigi Boggio Casero boasts an international clientele comprising the fashion industry elite.
The synergy that has now been created will propel the two brands into a new dimension to make Lanerie Luigi Boggio Casero a wholly
united enterprise.
